Know the reason why Big Boss 14 is worst seasons of the show
The makers tried to introduce many twists but nothing worked in the show's favour.
Bigg Boss 14 makers are leaving no stones unturned to make the reality show interesting and have failed miserably. Viewers got a glimpse of what on offer on the premiered day itself, where the show was super-lengthy and by the time the last contestant introduced, many were off to sleep.
BIGG BOSS 14 TOOFANI SENIORS COULDN'T STIR A STORM
The show premiered in October on Colors TV with 14 contestants and three Toofani Seniors - Sidharth Shukla, Gauahar Khan and Hina Khan. And that is where the show lost its plot. The three former BB contestants were on the show as mentors to guide them, something which was never done before. This majorly affected the contestants, as they were overpowered by the seniors and couldn't flourish in the game properly.
FRESH FACES ELIMINATED TOO SOON
Some contestants like Shehzad Deol, Sara Gurpal and Nishant Malkhani were ousted before they could play in full potential. And, never even got to get back on the show, unlike a few lucky ones, who re-entered the show. After Toofani Seniors left the show, housemates seemed lost. Soon, BB introduced Wild Card Contestants. Apart from Kavita Kaushik, none of them was impressive enough to run the show. However, Kavita was thrown out in the first week itself but soon re-entered the house to leave again.
EVEN CONTROVERSIES COULDN'T SAVE THIS SINKING SHIP
Bigg Boss generally ropes in contestants who have stirred controversies in the past so that they can encash on their scandals to get massive views. Hence, in the past, they have introduced contestants like Shakti Kapoor, Aman Verma, Sofia Hayat, Arshi Khan and Ashmit Patel. This year, none of the contestants had a major controversy attached to them. As a result, the makers introduced a task where housemates were asked to share their dark secret to win the immunity stone. In the task, Eijaz Khan revealed that he was molested as a child, while Rubina Dilaik opened up that she and husband Abhinav Shukla were on a brink of getting a divorce before entering Bigg Boss 14. But even these big reveals couldn't help the sinking rating of the show.
Bigg Boss 14 housemates have been reprimanded by host Salman Khan on several occasion, sometimes for doing wrong and sometimes for being right or maybe righteous. He has often been heard ridiculing contestants who have tried to be peacemakers on the show. Contestants are often seen fighting over trivial matters and the language used on the show is totally crass. Watching the show is not a pleasant experience with usage of words like 'nalla', 'nalli' and 'chhuchhundar'
After trying all the tips and tricks, the makers remembered old BB contestants to save their sinking ship. Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan, Manu Punjabi, Arshi Khan, Kashmera Shah and Vikas Gupta entered BB 14 as Challengers. Among the six challengers, Rakhi was the only one who viewers enjoyed watching on the show, as she was the most entertaining contestant on the show, more than the present contestants.
BIGG BOSS 14 HAS BECOME A JOGGERS PARK
The number of re-entries that BB 14 has seen in unbelievable. Earlier, a re-entry used to be a big deal on the show but on this season, every second contestant who's gone out of the house has re-entered the house. It all began with Kavita Kaushik re-entering the house after she was ousted due to fewer votes. However, her stay didn't last long, as she voluntarily quit the show after a nasty fight with Rubina Diliak. Vikas Gupta, who was thrown out of the house for pushing Arshi Khan in the pool, re-entered to re-exit due to health issues and again re-entered along with Devoleena Bhattacharjee. Rahul Vaidya, Aly Goni and Nikki Tamboli are other BB 14 contestants who were ousted and managed to return to the show. It doesn't end here, as Eijaz Khan, who recently left the house, will also be re-entering the house.
BIGG BOSS 14: A NEVER-ENDING SAGA
According to reports, Bigg Boss 14 will continue till March. Last year, Bigg Boss 13 got a month's extension, as its viewership broke all records. But the current season hasn't managed to garner good views, yet the viewers will have the bear this never-ending saga for two more months. There is no use crying over spilt milk. no amount of effort can fix it and the same is true for the current season of Bigg Boss. Ideally, the makers should have concluded the current season in January and should have introduced a new season with a few contestants from the current season and a few from the former ones. All in all, 2020 might be blamed or a lot of things and unfortunately Bigg Boss 14 will also be one of them. Sadly we couldn't get rid of it in 2021 but maybe soon, we will get to bid it adieu.
