According to reports the Indian Army received credible information from the Intelligent agency in Afghanistan stating that the JeM was planning more suicide attacks in India and had shifted around 250 terrorists in their camp in Balakot region.As a result of which the India Air Force decided to plan the strike and as a result On Tuesday, 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the Indian Air Force crossed the LoC and dropped 1,000-kg bombs on camps of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Balakot. A large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and Jihadis were eliminated in the operation, according to sources.
The Pakistan Armed Forces spokesperson, Major General Asif Ghafoor, on Twitter, claimed, “Indian Air Force violated Line of Control. Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircraft went back.” Ghafoor denied that were any casualties and the Pakistan government too rejected India’s claims of the air strike, calling it fictitious. Meanwhile, residents in several towns near Balakot reported hearing explosions early on Tuesday.
Mohammad Adil, a farmer in Jaba village, told BBC Urdu he and his family were woken at about 03:00 by “a huge explosion”.”Then we heard jets flying over. We went to the place in the morning. There was a huge crater and four or five houses were destroyed,” he said.
